eCommerce Content Executive

Location: Kemble

Reporting to: eCommerce Content Manager

Key responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Merchandisers and CRM to plan and update the site, briefing studio with high levels of detail and accuracy, consistent with email creative, liaising with designers to ensure the best possible user experience across all browsers and devices.
  • Planning campaign and promotional creative across the site to ensure consistent and effective messaging throughout the customer journey. Using schedules to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and partners to update and edit brand pages and blogs
  • Reporting on successes and analysing engagement, providing suggestions for improvement and identifying opportunities to optimise content for organic traffic and maximize conversion rates across key traffic areas of the site, using analytics tools.
  • Identify opportunities for informative videos to enrich content and support seasonal campaigns and product ranges: working closely with other departments to source products, co-ordinating production and reporting on engagement success
  • Supporting the rest of the eCommerce Content team occasionally reporting on and analysing the KPIs, as well as editing and producing content, such as blogs, buying guides and general service messaging during busy periods.

Knowledge required:

  • Experience working within an eCommerce retail environment
  • An understanding of how conversion rates can be affected by both the user experience and the customer journey
  • An understanding of SEO best practice
  • Experienced using analytics software such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics and other keyword tools
  • Knowledge of the Outdoor industry would be a distinct advantage

Skills and qualifications:

  • Experience briefing and feeding back on creative delivered by designers
  • Experience working within an eCommerce/SEO/Content Marketing or similar environment
  • Analytically minded with a proactive approach to sourcing and interpreting data
  • Experience using a Content Management System
  • Experience influencing and negotiating with others, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced environment, managing time and workload under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Proven editing and online copy writing skills
