An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Support Manager to join an Industrial cleaning, maintenance, security and facilities company.

The role will be based on the site of a high profile client, it will involve managing all
staff and site operations to meet and exceed the contractual cleaning requirements of the clients.

As Area Support Manager your duties will involve:

- Manage clients expectations and site standards by ensuring Client requests are responded to and problems are resolved
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Adhere to the site health and safety rules and requirements
- To organise weekly staff rotas to provide contracted levels of cleaning
- Ensure all staff are trained to work safely on site and carry out specified cleaning tasks
- Ensure daily/weekly checks of cleaning machines are carried out
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are recorded as required
- Supervise all staff, maintain holiday and sickness records and carry out any required health and safety reporting
- Liaise with client to maintain good relations with client staff, contractors and visitors to the site
- Carry out regular staff meetings reviewing staff performance and make recommendations as appropriate
- Create and implement and share new ideas and improved work techniques
- Motivate and advise Team Managers and Supervisors regularly
- Purchase work equipment/site supplies to authorised limits
- Recruit staff during the recruitment process, carry out various HR functions.
- P&L accountability for the region, ensuring management of services within budget and achievement of maximum revenue and agreed gross margin.
- Identify and build business opportunities

The ideal Area Support Manager will hold the following skills and experience
- Ideally previous experience of working for a Facilities or an onsite industrial cleaning company
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
- Confidence to use own initiative and decision making.
- Proven Team Leading skills

The role £21000 plus a monthly performance bonus (bonus amount to be finalised between £100-£200) They will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00 or 08:00-16:00 (hours are negotiable) Due to nature of role weekend work may also be required on occasion.
