The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is a new department at the heart of the Government's agenda, with a vision of an economy that works for everyone. The Business Insight Competency Centre is a team of experts who drive the management information and business intelligence for BEIS and its partner organisations. As part of this specialist team we are now looking for an experienced TM1 Developer to work in our technical team to help support the performance of our key systems. Your new role As an experienced TM1 Developer you will work across our Finance and Reporting Systems working with both our technical teams and the wider organisation to understand our requirements, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and are ed to our wider organisation strategy and direction.
As a solutions focused developer you will be working in a project and BAU environment providing both development and 3rd line support for our key systems. You will work across the full application lifecycle from requirements phases, through to technical design, development and implementation of our key systems. Working with stakeholders you will act as a subject matter expert to ensure you deliver value, process improvements as well as helping support best practice and industry standards across the team.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong technical development, system administration and solutions focused background across finance systems with strong experience of Cognos TM1
- Experience of full development lifecycle with experience of business requirements, solution design and development through to testing and implementation
- Strong technical knowledge skills across TM1, Cognos BI or Hyperion and SQL
- Proven experience in building strong relationships across frequently changing complex organisations, stakeholder groups and partner organisations
