This unique hotel is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance function.
Reporting into the General Manager, the Financial Controller will have a strong background in Hotel Finance but this could be an ideal opportunity for an assistant financial Controller or management accountant to take their first step as Financial Controller.
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller with good financial controls, especially around payroll. Previous hotel FC experience in a 100+ bedroom hotel is real advantage. This property has over 100 bedrooms, with a turnover of sub £10m. You will be responsible for managing a team and so previous line management experience is essential.
You'll be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, payroll control in conjunction with HR, cost control and all financial matters relating to your hotel as well as being the driving force behind the financial management and strategy for your hotel.
The Financial Controller will work closely with the GM of the Hotel, providing quality financial control and commercial information to the business.
They will be responsible for proactive financial analysis, FP &A, and strategic planning.
They will also need to ensure a robust control framework is in place, including effective systems to manage cash flow.
The ideal Financial Controller will have the following:
- Qualified or Qualified by experience accountant
-A background in hotel finance in a management position
- The ability to speak to people of all levels
- Strong commercial capability
- A team playing mentality
- Line management experience
