Anchor Computer Systems Ltd is a major financial software provider in the instalment credit sector. Well established and still growing, we have over 25 years? experience in the financial services industry, our systems are used by over 300 organisations in the UK and elsewhere. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and talented network systems administrator to join our team and maintain our hosted and internal networks.

Applicants must hold full current eligibility to work in the UK and be available to attend an interview at short notice.

Role Purpose

As a Junior System Administrator, you will work within the infrastructure team and be involved with monitoring and maintaining our hosted and internal networks including providing operational support and maintenance. The successful candidate will be required to work a 40 hour week covering a flexible shift pattern. This role is suited to someone who is already working in a technical systems environment or is a recent graduate in a computer science related degree.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential Experience

Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Must be flexible and able to work to business-driven deadlines

Must have some either Educational or Business Related experience of one or more of the Technical Areas indicated below.

Any Technical Experience of:


Windows Server

MS SQL Server 2008->2016 Administration

Active Directory

Firewalls and Internet Security


HP and Cisco Hardware

Additional Desirable Experience of:

Hyper-V, MS System Centre, DPM

Other SAN or Storage Technologies

ITIL Knowledge

Desirable Qualifications

Bachelor?s degree

Vendor equivalent qualification or other professional qualifications.
