Job Summary:

A Transformation Telecommunications Manager who can ensure that they can effectively a new VoIP system. They will be building the operating model of the future. Overall management responsibility for the telecommunications team and to provide and develop a high quality and an efficient Voice Framework Management (VFM) communications service to the business

The post holder will :

* Be responsible for all Telecoms Operators and Telecom Engineers for services across sites covering a 24x7x365 day service across the organisation.
* Responsible for keeping updated on all new systems that may reshape business communicatons for unification of voice and data networks (VOIP)* Manage all user handsets (approx. 3000 extensions) across sites.
* Be responsible for the continuing professional development and overall performance of all staff within the Telecommunications Department across all sites.
* Play a major role in the continuous development of the business as a potential member of a range of quality process improvement project groups.
* Maintain effective lines of communication with key Internal Stakeholders

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

* Responsible for creating, interpreting and implementing policies on service development e.g. "Telecommunications Failure Emergency Procedure".
* Responsible for developing policy and procedures for escalation of bleeps and crash call systems for I&T.
* Responsible for developing emergency planning policies for resilience of the organisations voice/bleep system which will impact across the whole business
* Assist in line with the Head of Service Delivery business planning and recommendations for the capital budget within Telecommunications
* Responsible for keeping updated on all new systems that may reshape business communications for unification of voice and data networks (VOIP)
* Continue to develop new systems for communications for mobility across both sites (mobiles, blackberries, data office cards and voice)
* Create and provide computer generated logs and records of all contracts for telecommunications, bleep, air calls and mobile phones for audit purposes across sites.
* Provide and administer monthly computerised call logging reports to all heads of departments on main line call costs and investigate any questionable calls that manager's highlight.
