Title: Network Support Engineer
Fujitsu currently provides 2nd and 3rd line technical support to one of their high profile customers in the Defence industry. We are now expanding our support team and as a result, we need to recruit an experienced Network Support Engineer to join a small team of highly skilled technicians based in Solihull, West Midlands.
In this key role you will manage and support the new Ministry of Defence Juniper Core Network (MCN). The MCN is a high performance, high availability network and this challenging role will give you the opportunity to work with one of our high profile Defence customers in an innovative and stimulating environment.
Daily duties will include a mixture of general support escalations/fault finding and project/implementation work including:
-Configuring and on-boarding of new devices
-Incident problem and change management
-Monitoring and managing the network service
-Network service improvements
Due to the nature of the work applicants will need a minimum of SC clearance with the possibility of applying for DV clearance in the future.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have a good breadth and depth of technical experience in the support and management of Juniper MX and SRX series devices and be qualified to JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIS levels. You will be self-motivating, customer focused and a strong team player
Qualified to JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIS levels.
Knowledge of at least 4 of the following network protocols:
A working knowledge of JUNOS and the Juniper and Cisco family of routers and switches and firewalls.
