Role and Responsibilities – Trainee Administrator – Corporate BenefitsReporting to the Director - Pensions & Financial Planning, this role is responsible for providing support to the Corporate Pensions Department, and other Departments within CSFS as required.Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:1. To carry out basic administration activities for CSFS clients and provide effective support within a team environment, seeking technical assistance from experienced colleagues where required.2. To build knowledge and experience of supporting clients from an administrative standpoint within a setting providing true ‘cradle to grave’ support.3. Ensuring that the back office database is up to date and in accordance with our compliance procedures. Create and update client records within our back office systems.4. Carry out general administrative duties as required such as letters, client scheme support, client email and telephone queries, statement checking, member email and telephone queries, policy amendments, scan and allocate the Teams incoming post and related documentation, obtaining information, saving correspondence to client records and requests from consultants for support.5. Liaising with clients, paraplanners, consultants, internal departments and Product Providers, and develop appropriate business relationships.6. Working closely with existing and new clients where appropriate to ensure excellent service delivery across the business, with a focus on the levels of support included within existing service agreements, and identifying areas for referral to Consultant where additional support is justified or required.7. To build a working knowledge of the Pension Department’s client base, with an objective of being able to comfortably communicate with any team client on day-to-day matters from an administrative standpoint, referring queries where appropriate. To gain a working knowledge of other areas of the business and the services that they provide to clients.8. Participating in regular team meetings to refine work processes.9. Working towards relevant professional qualifications is strongly encouraged reviewing your own training needs and, in conjunction with the Director - Pensions & Financial Planning, addressing those needs in an appropriate and timely manner.10. To perform any other duties and jobs that the Director - Pensions & Financial Planning may, from time to time, reasonably request.How will you know that the Trainee Administrator is performing their job well?The Director - Pensions & Financial Planning will manage this role by reference to the above performance criteria and other agreed measures.Person Specification:You must be literate and numerate, with an ability to work within a professional setting.As this role is client facing, you must be personable and presentable, with an ability to develop business relationships. You should be helpful and efficient, with a focus on providing strong levels of service to clients.You must be well organised, be able to prioritise tasks appropriately, have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and Word required.This role would be ideal for someone with an appetite to learn and develop a career in financial services, and the long term progression opportunities are many and varied for the right candidate.
