Allied Mobility has over 10,000 customers in WAV’s that we supply through the Motability scheme. Each of these customers has a 3 year warranty, as well as support for the remainder of their contract with Motability. In addition, they each receive an annual visit from us to ensure the converted parts on the vehicle are serviced and working as they should, helping to keep our mutual customers happy and make sure they are getting the best out of their WAV. This role it to manage and repair warranty cases as they are reported, as well as support the WAV check element of the contract. The role will be reactive to customer requirements and will require flexibility. As the job locations can be around the UK, travel and possible overnight stays will be expected.

A new opportunity has become available for a Warranty Adaptations Technician to carry out these important checks in Coventry, Northampton, Leicester or Birmingham.

You must be a time-served mechanic. Previous automotive experience and a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are essential. The ideal candidate must have an understanding of general 'hands on' repairs, good experience of using hand tools and have a pleasant approach with customers. Basic PC skills would also be helpful as would good technical/engineering skills and a full UK Driving Licence is essential. The successful candidate will live and be based in Coventry or the surrounding areas.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform all work assigned quickly, economically and to the Company and Manufacturers standards
  • Advise Workshop Controller if additional work is required on the vehicle and seek assistance from them in the rectification of any faults
  • Maintain a high level of competence for work to be undertaken by undergoing site training
  • Discuss with customers, problems with their vehicles as requested
  • Assist management in the introduction of new methods of work designed to improve efficiency
  • Complete vehicle conditions report sheets and job cards

  • You will be scheduled to work 40 hours over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm, this may include some weekend hours so a flexible approach is essential. Your shift time starts and ends from your home, and is built around the customers you are visiting that day.
