An opportunity for an experienced and creative marketing professional to join a growing and highly successful business. Our client is one of the UK's most exciting cyber security companies and was recently listed in Wired Magazine as one of the UK's top 5 cyber companies changing the future of cyber security. Established in January 2017 by ex-GCHQ trainer and researcher, the company has experienced phenomenal success and growth in its first year and as such, they are looking for a hungry marketing Manager to join them on a path of continued expansion.

As their Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the company's marketing strategy and plan. This will involve:

  • Develop and manage offline and digital marketing campaigns
  • Oversee and execute the social media strategy
  • Manage and maintain the organisation's website
  • Write and optimise content for the website and social networking accounts such as Facebook and Twitter
  • Track and analyse website traffic flow and provide regular internal reports
  • Attain key performance indicators such as reducing the website bounce rate, increasing dwell time or improving conversion
  • Continually work on the Search Engine Optimization of the website
  • Fix any errors or bugs in online content
  • In partnership with experts and/or agencies, develop and post videos, podcasts and audio content to online sites
  • Arrange webinars and webcasts
  • Oversee all pay per click (PPC) activity
  • Write and proof-read copy for all marketing collateral (online and offline)
  • Identify new trends in marketing (particularly digital marketing), evaluate new technologies and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments, particularly developments in mobile marketing
  • Work on printed material to supplement online products
  • Organise and attend relevant company and external events
  • Act as the main point of contact for Marketing within the business
  • Create and submit monthly marketing performance reports
  • Manage the CRM strategy and marketing activities on a day-to-day basis (Hubspot)

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Relevant marketing related qualification and minimum of 2 years' practical experience, or 3 years' practical experience in lieu of marketing qualification
  • Editing and writing skills: you need to devise, edit and proof-read content for various marketing collateral and online content
  • Communication skills: you will need to be able to explain coherently to others, how marketing methodologies and digital technologies work
  • CMS editing experience
  • Project management: Digital marketing executives also need to be good at handling time-sensitive projects and working to deadlines
  • Photoshop: basic Photoshop and/or InDesign experience
  • CRM experience: prior experience of managing CRM activities / platforms on a daily basis (experience of using HubSpot beneficial but not essential)
  • Digital marketing: knowledge and experience of SEO and PPC best practices
  • Design / creative: must be skilled at developing creative content / campaigns, either independently or in partnership with an agency
  • Event management: prior experience of event management, primarily for industry exhibitions
