Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant Job within a Primary School in Caerphilly. Full time, Long term

A long term job has become available to support within the Early Years Department of one of our partnership schools. This is a small and friendly community Primary School in Caerphilly, which is very well -resourced, and offers a welcoming working atmosphere for the right person. The staff are well established, and work extremely well together to cater to the needs of the pupils, under the direction of a strong leadership team.

You will be working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment, where pupils feel both challenged and confident. You will be enthusiastic and approachable, ensuring that the children are encouraged, engaged and on task. You will monitor the progress of the children, adapting support methods accordingly, and provide feedback to the class teacher.

In order to apply for this position you will need to be/have;

A minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, or above/equivalent
Excellent working knowledge of Early Years Education, and the Foundation Phase Curriculum
A strong work ethic and a team player
A genuine desire to support the learning and development of the children, alongside supporting and working closely with other Teaching Assistants and the Class Teacher
Recent, referenceable experience of working within a similar environment
