Software Engineer, Building a data analytics platform, £30-40k, Edinburgh City Centre.

Your new company

While this business has been highly successful over the last 10 years, they are currently going through an exciting period of expansion as they diversify their data analytics platform.

They currently employ around 40 staff , primarily based in their Edinburgh city centre HQ.

They work with a clients from a a range of sectors including retail, not for profit, education and travel. They have had long term relationships with many house hold names and global brands.

Your new role

You will be joining a small development team (currently 4) tasked with the development of new cutting edge products that will be used both internally and externally. These applications will primarily help deliver data and web analytics services for clients.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Commercial software engineering experience
  • Various languages will be used including Python, Java, Ruby and Javascript
  • Any experience (or desire to learn) functional languages e.g Scala/Elixir/Clojure
  • An interest in big data / Machine Learning / AI
  • API Development.
