·Professional experience in a senior Buying capacity within Homeware Retail is essential.·Solutions and results driven; you are an innovative problem solver who has ideas and can think outside of the box to make things happen.·Can juggle competing priorities whilst working to tight deadlines.·Commercially astute; you are aware of and are interested in current market trends.The Role:
·Reporting to the Managing Director you will drive the development of an interesting range of high quality products in line with product strategy, brand and store values ensuring that the ranges represent this well-regarded organisation’s image and value levels.·Developing product strategy and implementation to achieve agreed sales, margin and stock objectives.·Establish and maintain sound business relationships with Suppliers.·Maintain the highest standards of quality, ensuring correct garment composition and construction.·Ensure that range plans, product brief, design brief, fabric brief, colour issue etc., are completed in line with the critical path and progressed effectively.·Continuous review of product performance and trends to maximize sales and margin on season and forward and appropriate action taken.·Responsibility for cost budget·Nurture a thorough knowledge of the stores / competition / opportunites / threats, etc., through store visits and detailed market study.This role is for someone who wants to lead an ambitious and motivated team who are taking their industry by storm.
