Your new School
This school is a mixed 11 to 18 comprehensive voluntary-aided school located in the city of Cardiff. There are currently over 1000 pupils on roll with 200 in the sixth form. Pupil entitlement to free school meals is lower than the national average. Senior leaders have maintained a clear vision of school improvement and have raised attendance rates and academic achievement during challenging circumstances. Governors are well informed about the work of the school, understand performance data well and provide effective support and challenge to the school.

Your new role
Your role will involve the following:

- General administrative duties including keeping computerised pupil records up-to-date using SIMS, providing reports when necessary, providing administration support to the headteacher and Senior Leadership Team when required, prepare money for banking, maintain filing systems, raising purchase orders and process invoices, answering incoming calls, greeting visitors, typing and various other IT based tasks.
- Managing school meal administration including maintaining parent pay, setting up new accounts, generating letters, keeping accurate computer records on FMS & SIMS,
- Administration of admissions / leavers to include updating and maintaining records, ensuring that staff are notified about new pupils & keeping records of where pupils transfer to and where records have been sent.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience working within a school office. You will use your initiative and won't be afraid to take on additional responsibilities. It is advantageous to have a working knowledge of the SIMS system. Schools will expect all school administrators to have a good standard of education, previous office work and experience working with children to some extent.
