A full time Teaching Assistant opportunity has become available in a larger than average primary school in the Ashton area of Tameside, (OL6). The school are looking to recruit an enthusiastic teaching assistant with experience supporting pupils with Autism and complex needs. The suitable candidate will be supporting a groups of children in the Reception class on a group basis initially on a supply basis with a view to a school based contract.

The Role
*SEN Teaching Assistant full time
*Experience of supporting verbal and non-verbal pupils with Autism
*Work in a 'good' school
*Strong supportive headteacher

The Pupil's
*Non-Verbal pupils with Autism
*Delayed learning
*No real behavioural challenges

The school

The incoming Teaching assistant will be joining a 'good' school with 'strong senior leaders'. The ideal candidate will be have experience of using PECs to help the non-verbal pupils with Autism. Graduates of psychology and speech and language are welcome to apply.
To be considered for this Reception SEN teaching assistant role, you will need to have a teaching assistant qualification/degree or a psychology degree.
