My client is looking to recruit an experienced In-House Electrical Technical Support Technician to work from their office in Huntingdon. The main purpose of the role is to deal with incoming phones calls from technicians, suppliers and customer to rectify their electrical problems that may arise. You will be remotely monitoring the companies products within a selected region and will provide the technical support when needed by the their own technicians on the customers site. You will coordinate the material order flow and liaise with the warehouse personnel to ensure an adequate and constant supply of stock and parts.

Main Roles, Expectations and Responsibilities required by the Company:

  • Resource planning
  • Provide technical support for engineers and customers
  • Liaise effectively with the service dispatch coordinator to ensure that all maintenance work is completed and technicians have the necessary means to correct and maintain all aspects of the WEC
  • Coordinate movements of field technicians as and when required in reaction to breakdowns and other necessary turbine requirements
  • Ensure that reports from the turbines are accurate to the maintenance schedules and update and maintain the ESC Reports database where necessary
  • Ordering of all material necessary to complete scheduled maintenance, necessary upgrades. Ensure that the WEC journal is accurate and updated where and when necessary
  • Coordinate the material order flow and liaise with warehouse personnel to ensure an adequate and constant supply of stock and parts
  • Working with other departments and technicians to create snagging lists for the WEC's
  • Demonstrate written plans of work for the week
  • Check, maintain and produce E-Service reports
  • Ensure there is full coverage and support for weekend working and cover
  • When and where necessary, travel to WEC sites throughout the UK.

Skills and requirements

  • Level 3 Electrical qualifications; ideally you will be a time served apprentice
  • Computer literate
  • Able to read electrical diagrams
  • Highly H & S conscious
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Excellent health and fitness levels are essential for this role
  • Must be good with heights
  • Team player
  • Able to stay away from home and work some weekends on a rota basis
