The Hotel Chocolat Marketing team is based at Head Office in Royston, Hertfordshire, and they have the responsibility for driving growth and engagement of our customer base.

As we evolve more and more into a data and insight driven business, the role of the Marketing Analyst has never been more important. As part of the CRM team, the aim is to tell a clear and concise insight from our customer base that compels our stakeholders to make the right decision and take the right action. You'll use data to make recommendations that feed into decisions which affect marketing activity and will ultimately have an impact on customer experience and marketing’s financial performance.

You will conduct deep numerical analysis of customer journeys across channels, the interactions we have with our customer and the customer base. Reporting directly to the CRM Manager, you will work closely with the IT team to provide regular analysis and insights to the wider marketing team and drive performance for the business.


Use Excel, Google Analytics, CRM SaaS and other online analytic tools to an advanced level to extract insights from dataProduce pre and post-campaign evaluations for performance and customer segmentation purposes, across the website and multiple marketing channelsDesign and deliver weekly, monthly and annual reports highlighting a range of trends and correlationsSupport with digital analysis and insight on marketing/sales data to increase customer understanding as well as drive performanceIdentify trends and interpret into tangible business recommendations, present these opportunities to the wider teams and support in their deliveryWHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU HAVE

Excellent data manipulation skills on excelExperience of advanced modelling techniques (e.g. regression, segmentation)Experience with one or more digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Coremetrics, etcExperience with one or more CRM SaaS (SFMC, Ometria, Marketo, HubSpot)Experience with one or more technical analytics: JS, HTML & CSS.Strong statistical skills1-2 years’ experience in an analytical position, ideally with online marketing/ecommerce for an online brand or retail organisationHighly organised and able to prioritise workload effectivelyPro-active and able to work off your own initiativeAttention to detail is criticalAble to communicate to and work with a variety of stakeholdersWorks effectively and pro-actively in a teamWORKING AT HOTEL CHOCOLAT
