Your new company
A popular five-form entry school in Liverpool is looking to appoint Level 2 Teaching Assistant to start asap on a fixed term contract. Due to restructuring within the school, a Level 2 Teaching Assistant role will initially run until Spring Break 2018 and will then be reviewed and extended depending on the success of the interventions introduced. If you have the skills to motivate and inspire children facing challenging barriers to learning, then this TA job is ideal for you.

Your new role
The head teacher and governors are looking to significantly raise attainment levels within the school, and so have created a new role within the staffing structure for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. The successful TA will hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification, and have experience of working in a secondary school setting as a Teaching Assistant with a proven record of reaching children with social; emotional or physical barriers to learning. You will be required to liaise closely with staff within the school community as well as external agencies to create a safe and consistent learning environment in which all pupils will progress. Experience of using the SIMS system and having had an impact on improving attendance is essential. Additional skills / qualifications in counselling would also be an advantage.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this Level 2 Teaching Assistant job you will have a Teaching Assistant qualification, and at least 6 months reference-able experience of working in a Secondary school within the last 2 years. You will have strong listening and communication skills combined with a non-judgemental approach Successful appointment is subject to obtaining an enhanced DBS check.
