British Approvals Service for Cables (BASEC) is an independent, accredited certification body. Our mark is synonymous with quality and safety. We provide product certification (approval) services globally for all types of cable and wire, for ancillary products, and also provide management systems certification for the cable sector.
There is an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our team.
The Marketing Manager will take full ownership of brand values, reputation, and reach. Develop, own and implement the agreed annual marketing plan.Major Responsibilities:

1.Develop, own and implement the agreed marketing plan, as signed off by the BASEC leadership team, CEO and Board of Directors.

2.Evangelise the brand and customer-centric principles.

3.Engage BASEC market, customer and stakeholder to implement an international brand building campaign.

4.Creation of creative marketing content to engage the target audience on & offline.

5.Ownership of the digital plans, including ensuring the website clearly articulates our value proposition to each stakeholder group, and acts as a lead generation tool feeding through to inside sales teams.

6.Run social media channels to enhance audience engagement and reach.

7.Work closely with in house and external agencies to develop social media, content, video and blogs to develop BASEC within their customer base.

8.Source editorial and advertising opportunities to maximise our budget and resources.

9.Ownership and organisation of exhibitions across the various territories, ensuring lead generation follow up and effective ROI measurement.

10.Measurement and performance marketing ROI reporting.

11.Any other responsibilities as management requests.

12.Health and safety responsibilities.

Critical Criteria:

1.Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

2.Relationship building with stakeholders

3.Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (DipM CIM)

4.Marketing based ROI principles

5.International Brand experience

6.Customer centric approaches

7.Proven ability to meet and exceed targets

8.Energy, urgency and drive to be successful

9.Excellent oral and written communication skills

10.Ability to travel, sometimes at short notice, anywhere in the world

Preferred Criteria:

1.Working with international sales teams

2.Working in a technical environment

3.International marketing experience

This position is based BASEC’s Crownhill Milton Keynes offices but will include extensive world-wide travel.
