A great opportunity to join a well established, Independent Estate Agency and Lettings Firm in Exeter as a full time lettings administrator / accounts administrator. Ideally they are looking for full time but reduced hours could be considered for the right person with experience. The role would also include some Saturdays on a rota.
Based in a busy lettings office, the role will predominantly be dealing with the accounts side of the business and lettings administration and duties will include:
  • Uploading of the daily bank statements
  • Posting rent receipts to tenants
  • Payments to landlords
  • Posting property expenses
  • Monitoring and chasing rent arrears
  • Management of the card payment system (if applicable)
  • Processing of Landlords' statements
  • Setting up bank details on systems
  • Weekly contractor payment run
  • Processing of monthly returns
  • Reconciling of all accounts
  • General accounts enquiries from clients
  • Contact with Councils/utility companies and their payments
  • Adhoc lettings administration work as required
  • Registering lettings candidates and new landlords
  • Booking appointments
  • Dealing with repair and maintenance issues when required

The ideal candidate for the role will have some accounts experience and ideally experience of working in a lettings environment and will have excellent administrative and organisational skills. You will have a strong work ethic and have a self motivated attitude.
Experience of using a lettings software system would be an advantage.
