Are you an English Teacher passionate about your subject?
Do you have the ability to deliver interactive and engaging lessons which inspire students to get excited about English?
We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and successful English practitioner keen to develop their career to join Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy in the role of Teacher of English. This role would suit a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced teacher seeking a new challenge.
We are a high performing school in North East Wolverhampton. We have a successful team, English is a popular subject at KS4 and KS5 and results in the Sixth Form are very good.
The English department are a dedicated, aspirational and forward thinking team of nine teachers. Recently members of the department have completed NPQML or achieved Lead Practitioner accreditation. English is taught in a suite of newly refurbished rooms, all with interactive whiteboards and access to laptops.
English is a successful, vibrant subject which maintains good results at KS4 and KS5. A Level English Literature is a popular choice, and students' studies at all levels are enhanced by educational visits, which have recently included the RSC and Shakespeare's birthplace. We are a member of PiXL and teachers are motivated to develop innovative practice, such as the introduction of Kagan strategies.
