This Primary school in Swindon is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work across its Key Stage 2 provision for an immediate start. The school is located in Swindon and has a supportive network of staff.
Your new job
In this challenging, but extremely rewarding role, you will work alongside the Teaching and Support team at the school to build positive, meaningful relationships with the students in Key Stage 2.
You will be confident in planning and preparation to work alongside the classroom teacher and to use your skills and experience as a Key Stage 2 SEN teaching assistant. You will be required to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you must have recent and relevant experience as an SEN teaching assistant, either in a voluntary or paid capacity. You must also have a passion for working with pupils of KS2 age and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You will have a Level 2 or higher qualification or alternatively extensive SEN experience supporting children in the Primary phase who have emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or exercise other complex and challenging behaviours. The challenges you will face day to day mean you must be a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a key passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the desire to have a positive impact on building good relationships with staff and students. You will need to have good time keeping and preparation skills in order to be a fantastic asset to the school. As per Department for Education (DfE) guidelines you will need to be able to provide full identification copies and reference details from the relevant experience you have previously gained in this or a similar setting.
