Learning Manager in Digital & Computing – Full Time – Bournemouth and Poole - £38,552 per annum

The Role

As a Learning Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Learning in the leading and managing of curriculum delivery, staff and resources. This role is key to the quality of the student experience and success and so you will work with personal tutors, college departments and Directors and Heads to deliver high levels of student satisfaction, success and progression. You will manage a group of staff including setting of objectives, managing performance, monitoring sickness absence, managing high levels of sickness absence and carrying out Personal Reviews and supporting personal development. Additionally, you will lead teaching and learning improvements and facilitate the sharing of good practise across your area.

Key skills, responsibilities and attitudes

  • Dynamic and innovative approach
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Knowledge of FE course and Apprenticeships
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Legislation
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to working with students of all ages
  • Some experience of facilitating learning for students in Further or Higher Education or an appropriate workplace setting, for example school.
  • Understanding of leadership & Management
  • Knowledge of current evidence-based practice in field(s) of expertise.
  • Graduate (or equivalent) in relevant subject area.
  • Teaching Qualification
