Your new school
A Greenwich Primary school is looking to appoint experienced Graduate Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Leaders. Your new school will be looking for you to help to increase the attainment in the SATS exams for this academic year.
Your new role
Your new role will involve you to work with students in Year 2 and Year 6 in small groups to increase their academic ability for their SATs exams. You will be working closely with the class teacher to find your students areas of improvement in order to target these specifically. It is likely that as well as teaching small groups for Maths and English, you will be required to teach phonics to small groups of children to increase their reading ability.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to be a graduate in any discipline and have a proven interest in education. It is essential that you have experience working with children and desirable that this is within a mainstream school. It would be beneficial if you had experience of working with SEN children as this would demonstrate your ability to successfully work through challenging learning difficulties.
