Our client who are from the training and educational sector are now looking to engage a Product Manager initially on a 9 months fixed term contract. £40k pro rata salary. This could however turn to permanent if all goes well.

Reporting in to the Manager Director you will be managing the process of developing one of their training products with one of their training companies which will be being delivered in to the education sector.

Summary:

Utilizing customer insights as your compass, manage the product development of MAPA programmes and their associated collateral - training content, sales & marketing materials, etc.throughout the product lifecycle.

Will report to Managing Director International and work closely with internal teams in UK, USA & internationally including Content specialists, Instructional Design Team, Analytics, GPI's (training team), Customer Services, Sales and Marketing & senior management.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Function:

  • Fully manage the product life-cycle of the MAPA products to determine future market opportunity, potential for modifications, or obsolescence
  • Develop and execute strategies and plans to drive product innovation, improve the customer experience, and grow sales and profitability of new and existing products
  • Analyze competitive landscape for the programmess and product including sales volume, product pricing, product technologies and features, marketing, channel and support strategies
  • Communicate customer needs and requirements for new product development to internal teams and prioritize all new product development activities to maximize sales growth
  • Provide direction to internal teams to enhance the product and its collateral to maximize revenueProject Manage & lead activities across the product lifecycle including product vision, strategy, customer insights, market insights, development, planning and execution Use qualitative and customer research and data analysis to communicate product vision to senior management and various stakeholdersSynthesize customer insights from multiple sources and own the product strategy and feature prioritization based on inputs from these sources
  • Build new product business cases and generate new product ideas through the analysis of voice of customer data, sales and market trends and competitive data
  • Domestic and international travel required 25-30%

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and business case writing skills
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to set the vision, build plans, then drive activities and meet deadlines consistently
  • Qualifications/Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 6+ years of experience in related product management, category management or portfolio management
  • There will be a up to 30% travel with this position.
