About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled administrator to assist the Legal Team and Head of Deeds and Land Management in all aspects of work undertaken by the department in a fast-paced environment.
As a Legal Administrator you will be an integral part of the Legal Team and will provide general support and assistance on property related issues across the Organisation. More specifically you will handle email and telephone enquiries and correspondence from internal and external customers, solicitors and third parties. As well as undertaking routine legal work, you will be expected to provide basic legal advice and interpretation to colleagues and to liaise closely with the Community Asset Team, Treasury Team and other key departments.
You will also be required to contribute to the development of the team's policy, practice and procedures.
This is a fixed term position to cover maternity leave.
About the individual
* Educated to degree level (preferably legal) post graduate legal qualifications e.g. Legal Practice Course desirable but not essential.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Understanding of Property Law, knowledge of or interest in social housing sector.
* Highly organised candidate with experience of working within a busy legal team and with meticulous attention to detail.
