A Business Development Manager job is required within one of the UK's leading Energy Providers, offering up to £55,000 depending on experience, permanent vacancy.

Your new company
A Business Development Manager job is required within one of the UK's leading Energy Providers, to lead opportunity origination, development and execution, ranging from long term O&M contracts for customers to complex DBFO projects for a customer or with partners, offering up to £55,000 depending on experience, permanent vacancy.

Your new role
You will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities to support the growth of a strong pipeline of projects, with the initial aim of securing exclusivity with customers and/or partners. You will lead the internal development team (including legal, engineering, valuation and analysis, and wider business development resources) and external advisers in the closing of opportunities from the pipeline to create value for the business. You will directly manage both internal governance process and required bid or co-development management. Accumulating in finalisation of good quality investment committee papers and customer/partner submissions. You will build trusting relationships with external partners and potential customers to maintain relevant and diverse routes to market for the team. Promoting embedded generation and Energy Infrastructure across the company in order to share knowledge, add value and generate new business opportunities is also an integral part of your role, as well as supporting projects led by other team members such as, drawing from expertise and wider experience. You will provide input, support and assistance to the Development Director in developing and maintaining a robust and coherent strategy for the Embedded Generation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong problem solving and analytical skills. You will be customer orientated with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbally. You will be commercially astute with great attention to detail and understanding of risk; with a good understanding of the commercial parameters of energy commercial development and operation. You will have a background in the technical, commercial or financial aspects of project development and business development experience, with the awareness to assess the viability of potential opportunities.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an attractive salary of up to £55,000 depending on level of experience, plus commission, a company car and health benefits.
