TUI Group is recruiting a Customer Insights Analyst to work within the Inflight Retail team driving a better understanding of our airline customers and their buying behaviours. Drawing on customer data, existing demographic information, crew feedback and market research your insight will help the wider inflight retail team to develop product ranges, marketing plans and promotional activity in order to maximise revenue and margin.

This is an exciting time to be joining TUI as we insource a number of retail services from external suppliers to build a world-class Inflight Retail organisation. Understanding our customers brand affiliation and their buying behaviours is key to developing the best possible product ranges and so as the Customer Insights Analyst you will be a very important part of the success of this initiative.

What you will be doing

As the Customer Insights Analyst you will report directly to the IFR Marketing Manager. You will become the expert on the TUI airline customer by analyzing data and feedback from a number of sources to build an accurate picture of our customers and their buying behaviours. You will work very closely with other members of the IFR team in order to improve the general understanding of customers as well as providing insight into more specific issues such as which promotional mechanics work best in each source market, or what cosmetic brands our customers are most interested in purchasing.

You will also be expected to seek direct feedback from both customers and crew on our product ranges, promotions and pricing and will deliver focus groups as required to get more detailed feedback on specific questions.

What we are looking for
  • Proven experience in a customer insights role
  • Understanding of current customer insights techniques
  • Excellent data analytics
  • Good understanding of customer demographics and segmenting
  • Qualitative and quantitative market research experience
  • Strong internal stakeholder engagement skills
  • Organised, determined, highly capable
  • Flexibility to travel throughout Europe on a regular basis
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Ability to speak another language (French, Dutch or German) would be advantageous.
