Our client is a Top 100 Food company and they are looking for a marketing manager to be the brand and consumer voice in their business. The aim of the role is to support the UK Marketing Director in setting objectives and strategy that will drive long term sustainable profitability whilst delighting their customers. You will be responsible for planning and executing the successful delivery of their niche products and new product development marketing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Generate and apply insights drawn from deep consumer, shopper, competitor and market understanding which leads to differentiated business opportunities
  • Develop winning consumer-led long term brand strategies delivered through annual brand plans to meet financial goals
  • Assist in optimising the brand positioning for the UK consumer through consistent building the brands equity over time therefore enhancing the consumer appeal and distinctiveness
  • Continuously review marketing activity within agreed annual brand plan for ROI and optimise, remove or replace deliver objectives
  • Manage the ATL and BTL, brand promotional strategy and NPD initiative launch optimisation
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, external agencies and factories to bring marketing to budget, on time and approved at the correct levels and within the brand guidelines
  • Be the consumer voice of the brand internally by communicating new brand and category information to all other departments
  • You will need to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • Degree in marketing or similar and preferably a further marketing qualification e.g. CIM
  • Proven experience in brand/product marketing within a fast paced food FMCG company ideally blue chip
  • Experience of running successful NPD projects to launch and beyond
  • Proven track record of working with heavyweight campaigns including TV with big creative and media agencies
  • First class verbal and written communication skills and ability
  • Solid planing and management skills - focusing on budgets, forecasts, ROI and managing projects to tight deadlines in a fast paced commercial environment
  • Genuine desire to make a difference and an energetic approach to your work
  • It would be particularly helpful if you have previous experience of working with healthcare professionals.
