Our client is an extremely reputable, British manufacturer of Vehicles supplied both nationally and internationally. They specialise in the design and manufacture of such Vehicles and are a leader in their respective market. New Product Development (NPD) Programmes function is to successfully manage govern and deliver the NPD Project throughout the full Project life cycle, on behalf of the business and cross functional stakeholders. The purpose of the role is to Project Manage New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to handover phases.
Reporting directly to the Platform Manager this role will involve the following: - •Managing projects to the required Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives, typically projects with over 1m Engineering New Product Development budget•Work with stakeholders both internally and externally (suppliers and customers) to understand requirements, plan, communicate status and manage issues to resolution•Risk Manage and communicate throughout project life cycle to all stakeholders

Main Tasks / ResponsibilitiesPlease give a full description of all job tasks below: -•Post Gate 0 handover the Project Manager will launch the project with stakeholders across the business•Develop the Project Schedule and agree Quality, cost and delivery milestones and targets with the project team and as required with the customer and suppliers•The role has a responsibility to ensure that critical systems are signed off by ADL and external suppliers at prototype and production intent stages of the project•The role is required to ensure previous known RQIs and campaigns have not been repeated and lessons learnt are incorporated into project planning•Ultimately the Project Manager is responsible for Cost, Quality and delivery from project launch until 28 days post launch into the field•Status of Delivery•Key risks, mitigation and support required•Quality of the project deliverables / Customer focus•Cost status vs budget•Tracking of Cost of Product (COP) i.e. labour and materials of vehicle•On time delivery of projects•Project to budget•COP tracking to plan – or very early communication of variance•Project Quality objectives met•Clear demonstration of risk management, with mitigation and escalations as a result
