An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Brand Manager to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for an ABM to work in the Skin Cleansing category, based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Leatherhead. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 6 months (with possible extension) working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying up to £35,000 pro rata, depending on experience (Maximum hourly rate is £17.95 PAYE or Ltd Day rate is maximum of £174.55)


Background:

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Brand Manager to join the female skin cleansing team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to build a marketing career in Personal Care and establish experience working across globally renowned brands Simple & Radox. With a particular focus on growing the Simple brand within skin cleansing as well as parts of the Radox portfolio, this role gives strong ownership of brands that play a key role in the category.

The focus of this role is to work with the Brand Manager to effectively manage and grow the Simple skin cleansing range; a previously untapped opportunity with huge potential given the growth within the natural space. In addition you will support the Brand Manager on various Radox projects. This role is perfect for someone who is quick to learn and loves working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a multi-functional team. You will have the opportunity to develop brand building skills across all of the 6Ps and take commercial initiative. You will also have real ownership of Simple skin cleansing and other parts of the portfolio and can truly scope for their future success. Do you get excited by new consumer insights and new products? You'll also be part of the bigger Personal Care Clan and work closely with the masterbrand teams on Simple to deliver a strong growth plan and long term strategy

Main responsibilities (Main tasks and decision making requirements of the role)

1. Responsible for Brand P&L
- Manage and own the Simple skin cleansing P&L, understand drivers and identify issues, challenges and opportunities to deliver sustainable growth
- Represent Simple in key business meetings and assist Brand Manager throughout the monthly business cycle.

2. Development of Integrated Brand Planning
- Uncover root issues and opportunities across the 6Ps via leading brand and category audits
- Manage pricing & promotions in line with strategy across the brand, category or portfolio to maximise return & remain competitive.
- Develop a collaborative relationship with the global brand teams
- Develop and gain agreement to annual targets
- Develop jobs to be done and activity schedules

3. Development and excellent execution of Activity Plans, on time, in full
- Develop cost effective annual activity plans to execute the strategies and targets agreed
- Execution of plan. Work with agencies across all relevant media
- Execute local roll-out of all relevant innovation projects and lead '20' local projects
- Lead cross functional teams to ensure successful execution of launch plans and post-launch evaluation
- Manage the brand budget to ensure spend is in line agreements.

* 4.Provide input into Shopper Marketing for brand
- Work with the shopper marketing team to ensure that customer specific themes and strategies are aligned with and amplify national plans.

5. Constantly review brand and initiative performance for ongoing improvement
Continuously understand ongoing business performance using key diagnostics of share and growth trends, key initiatives, competitive activity and return on marketing investment.

6. On-going responsibilities

7. External insight
Champion competitive behaviour in the market and consistently search for insights that could inspire winning share driving activity for the brand


Key Skills

-Classic brand management experience in a leading FMCG environment a plus
-Qualified to degree level or equivalent

-Proactive, being able to deliver in a busy environment
-Digital Marketing experience a plus
-Commercial skills

Some travel in UK and Ireland is required
