About Me

I am a 24-year-old female who has a physical disability, Cerebral Palsy. I am in my first year studying Web Design and Development at Southampton Solent University.

I am a friendly person with a great sense of humour. I enjoy having a busy social life as I have a great network of friends and a very supportive family. Technology in general is a huge passion of mine. I also love doing things any other young person does, such as - going to the cinema, shopping, eating out, clubbing, travelling, taking the dog out, watching live music, swimming and much more. This job would make it the ideal work for someone with similar interests and likes. :)

About the Job

This is an awesome opportunity to do something very different to most other jobs and to make a positive/meaningful impact on my time at university. You will be required to help me with personal care and social support. This is a “flat mate/friend” type role which is much more than simply care work, and includes the typical social events a university student of my age would like doing such as going away for weekends, going on holidays, going out for drinks, hanging out with friends, watching TV/Netflix and much more.

Weekly Live-in

Previously my PA's have often used the flexible working arrangements that come with the week on/week off set up to travel abroad or visit friends throughout the year. The combination of this, with the knowledge that you are having a positive, daily impact on someone's life, and the relaxed, inclusive working environment makes this a unique and exciting opportunity.

Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.

During the holidays I live with my family in Dorset. I have my own flat/annex that is located within the family home, where you will be provided with an ensuite PA room.

My time at university is split between living in university accommodation and at home in Weymouth for occasional weekends. There is a PA studio with an ensuite and kitchenette in the same private halls as I am in.

·You must hold a full clean UK driving licence.

·Must speak English as your first language.

About You
