As the UK's leading community retailer, we're all about people. And it's not just our customers who find everything they need at the Co-op - our colleagues do too. We're returning to our pioneering roots, going back to our core principles, and recruiting talented people who reflect the rich diversity of the communities we serve. We've recently restructured our retail leadership, talent and learning function, and now we're looking to recruit a systems and support advisor into our retail learning team.

As a learning systems and support advisor, you'll work as part of the learning, leadership and development team. We'll look to you to manage queries, coordinate learning courses, pull together reports and support the delivery of learning across the retail business. You'll also spend around 50% of your time supporting our new apprentices and making sure they have what they need for when they start, and during their time with us. It's a great opportunity to work with lots of different people in a varied and fast pace role, giving you some great exposure and opportunities to develop.

What you'll do:

* assist with the management of the team inbox and looking into any issues and queries and making sure customers receive a good service through informative responses

* coordinate both classroom and online learning for the retail team; sending out invites and booking rooms and venues

* liaise with external suppliers for booking accommodation, catering and printing and obtaining quotes on behalf of the team

* support with continuous improvement projects including the development of a suite of reports

* assist with the eProcurement process; creating PO's and managing the process end to end

* provide support to apprentices, making sure they have everything they need for starting with us, and help them build a development plan for their futures

To be successful for this role, you'll to be used to adapting and flexing based on a changing schedule. You'll also be used to dealing with lots of different people, adapting your approach and changing your communication style to suit. You'll be getting involved with lots of different activities, giving you the chance to really make a difference and build your profile. If you have the passion for learning and development we're looking for, we can give you the platform to progress and shape your career.

We'd love to speak to you if:

* you're customer focussed with great communication skills

* you're organised and able to prioritise and manage your time

* you're confident making decisions and thinking on your feet

* you have strong attention to detail and good excel skills

* you have experience building relationships and working with lots of different people

* you're eager to learn and develop

Why Co-op?

173 years ago the Rochdale pioneers came up with an idea that changed the world. They believed that when people work together, they're stronger, and it's thanks to them that as a Co-op colleague you'll receive a competitive salary and benefits including 24 days holiday, an annual incentive scheme, discounts on all kinds of products and services, and an amazing pension.

We're actively building diverse teams and we welcome applications from everyone. But we know that simply having a diverse workforce is not enough. We want to create an inclusive environment, where everyone can contribute their best work and develop to their full potential. We celebrate our differences. And we recognise the importance of our teams reflecting the communities they serve.

We can make adjustments to our interview process according to your needs. And we offer a flexible working environment, enabling our colleagues to adjust their hours to accommodate personal circumstances. You can find out more about all our Co-op people policies at coop.co.uk/peoplepolicies.
