SEND Teaching assistant post to start in January at Ofsted rated 'OUTSTANDING' primary school in Worecester.

Your new school

A local Worcester primary school are looking for specialist Teaching Assistants to join their team within their SEND department in January. You will be working within a large staffing team of supportive Teaching Assistants with guidance from the SENCo.

Your new role

For this Worcester Teaching Assistant job you will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis with additional support needs. Based on your experience you could be supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attachment Disorder and Emotional /Behavioural difficulties. During the school day for this Teaching Assistant job you will be working 1:1, in small groups offering interventions within the class environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • SEND experience is essential within a school setting
  • You will have specific school based experience in a Teaching Assistant job
  • Two previous long term placement references completed
  • It is desirable to hold NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification and a grade C or above in Maths and English at GCSE level
