Shape a more strategic approach to procurement

Following a recent realignment of our procurement teams, which has involved us adopting a category-led approach, we are now looking for experienced procurement professionals to take on roles covering the following categories: Corporate Services; Professional Services; Minor Works; and Hard FM.

As well as developing and implementing effective category strategies, you will be responsible for all aspects of the procurement process, from specification, pre-selection and invitation to tender to award, negotiation and contract management planning. Supplier management is another big part of the role and will include building relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance, and working with them to drive improvements in quality and efficiency. There will also be opportunities for you to deliver increased value for money by expanding our supply chain and sourcing activities overseas.

Build on your broad experience and skills

As someone with experience across the full range of procurement activities, you will be skilled at identifying potential suppliers, conducting negotiations, managing contracts, and ensuring suppliers deliver on an ongoing basis. Time spent in a category manager role is good but not essential, as long as you have experience of implementing category strategies. Knowledge of relevant UK and EU regulations would also be very useful, as would excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage projects and people.
