Trade Marketing & Product Manager
Competitive Salary

Your duties will be to manage the optimum range of products by segment & channel in order to maximise sales within the UK. This role will amplify the marketing presence of brands within the retail arena and the UK market place by means of Point of Sale, retailer's publications, web environment and retailer activity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Marketing Activities fits within the prescribed brand fundamentals and image
  • Day to Day contact with Head Office NPD & Marketing Teams
  • To assist with the creation of the annual marketing budget
  • Report monthly measures of expenditure vs budget
  • Ensure that products are supported within the retail environment to enhance USPs and product positioning
  • Ensure that brand message is relevant to local market place, UK and Ireland
  • Develop local communication creative if required
  • Present Product & Communication plans to Retailers as the brand ambassador
  • Updating knowledge on customer developments and identifying ways to meet their needs.
  • Provide marketing support in line with customer trading terms / programmes
  • Develop all local marketing/sales material (POS, merchandising, sales presentations, adverts)
  • To agree with the National Account Manager and Director of Marketing, account plans to ensure the best return for brand
  • To implement any marketing activity within the account plans ensure efficacy and implementation within agreed budgets
  • To enable timely introduction and communication of new products to the market
  • Assist the Director of Marketing and National Account Manager in developing the local rolling 12-month commercial plan (product range, pricing etc.)
  • To analyse the UK domestic and commercial markets through tools such as GfK
  • Develop presentations for Trade and Internal customers highlighting latest product trends
  • To maintain an effective electronic database of competitor products and marketing activity
  • To attend and present products at customer range reviews and other similar presentations

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant experience within Marketing
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Ability to prioritise effectively
  • Ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally - strong presentation skills
  • Proactive Flexible and enthusiastic, willing to adapt to different circumstances
  • Organised, confident and able to work well under pressure
  • Strong products and brand knowledge
  • Business or Marketing Degree
