At FCO Services, your job will just mean more. Government-level customers in the UK and around the world rely on us to keep information, assets and people safe. By helping us deliver a strategic procurement service, and enabling us to make smarter decisions about the products, services and suppliers we need, you will get to play an important role in our ongoing work.
Lead IT procurement projects at the cutting edge
Working closely with the Head of Procurement, you will take the lead on key procurement projects and programmes within the IT category. This will mean partnering with all our business areas, not only to help them meet their day-to-day IT procurement needs but also to develop a long-term strategy for the category. At the same time, you will be developing positive relationships with our suppliers in order to drive improvements in quality and efficiency.
We’ll need you to act as a category management expert across a broad range of technologies, including hardware infrastructure, cloud technologies, operating systems, networks, WiFi and Aruba. You will also advise senior management on supply chain business trends and will provide managers across the business with specialist procurement advice.
Give senior figures the benefit of your expertise
To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record in procurement, including experience of working on IT projects and of negotiating and building partnerships with suppliers. Supply chain expertise is equally important. Not only will you have a detailed understanding of various key IT supply chains but you will also have first-hand knowledge of developing supply chains and managing risk.
A strong team worker, skilled in Excel, Word and Outlook, you will be able to engage and communicate effectively with managers and stakeholders at a senior level.
And take your career to the next level
At FCO Services, we keep information, assets and people safe all around the world. Our customers, who include the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, look to us to respond with speed, agility and innovation to their ever-changing security challenges. This gives every job here added significance and provides the ideal environment for you to hone your procurement expertise. All while working at the very forefront of IT solutions.
All our employees have to be security cleared to the highest level, so you will need to undergo a comprehensive vetting process before joining.
