The Company

This OEM World Leader designs and manufactures Rail and Commercial Vehicle Systems, and their customers are house hold names! Currently working on the UK’s Largest Rolling Stock projects!

The Ideal Candidate

As the International Product Manager, you will have the ability to work closely with a range of departments, including sale to determine customers’ requirements and by engaging in periodic reviews.

You will be strong with the development and implementation of the business case and its governance, including the fixed capital and working capital requirements.

By reviewing product specifications and requirements with the technology managers you will be able to specify the scope of present and future product lines. You will provide data from all Marketing Communications.Provide information for management reviews by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses.

By utilising market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, costing special and customised orders you will be able to coordinate with Sales Team for competitive product pricing.

Support the Sales organisation for customer meetings and tender negotiations.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending the relevant company workshops.

About the Position

This role is to develop the Rail Braking System product range by identifying potential product improvements, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timetables, pricing and time-integrated plans for product introduction and developing marketing strategies. The Product is an important new development in the field of brake control valves for Trains. The modular, decentralised system combines electronic and mechanical components into a single mechatronic unit.

The Requirements

  • Engineering degree desirable. Alternatively, relevant experience would be considered.

  • Experience in an engineering business.

  • Available to travel frequently to the company’s other locations and customers across the globe.
