An exciting job opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proactive Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant to work in one of my partnership primary schools in the Cardiff north area. This job is full time and long term, to commence in January of 2018. The right person will likely be offered a direct contract with the school, or a permanent role following a probationary period.

The Headteacher of this school has a strong work ethic, and is looking for someone who are like-minded, with a genuine passion for supporting learning, and enhancing the children's educational experience. The right person will be driven and motivated, with excellent knowledge and understanding of Early Years Education and the Foundation Phase curriculum, and of supporting pupils in this capacity. You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as this will be essential for providing the utmost support for the pupils.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-resourced and purpose built school, where staff are highly valued. There are also numerous training opportunities available for those looking for professional development. There is a good chance that this role will become permanent, or that you will be offered a direct contract with the school after a probationary period.

In order to apply for these roles you will need;
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above/equivalent)
Proven experience of supporting children with the Foundation Phase curriculum within a mainstream classroom environment
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Early Years Education and developmental milestones
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop good relationships with pupils and staff alike
A genuine desire to work with young children and enhance/support pupil learning and development in all aspects
