Your new role
As a Maintenance Engineer you will carry out basic fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on the production line equipment to rectify any minor faults.You will adhere to maintenance machinery schedule to ensure all issues and resolutions are fully documented at all times. At the end of each shift you will be responsible for completing the Engineering logbook to record any stock removed from the Engineering stores to ensure accurate stock control and audit readiness. Communication is key, so you'll need to ensure you consult with the operations team to confirm they are fully aware of engineering activities and schedules.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias and have worked extensively within a manufacturing environment. You will have completed a time served accredited apprenticeship or have equivalent experience with appropriate certification. You will have worked on a range of equipment ideally including PLCs, conveyors, packaging equipment and metal detectors. You have strong fault finding abilities and can quickly rectify issues where possible. You are used to following PPM schedules and can handle unexpected breakdowns. Your knowledgeable and organised with excellent attention to detail and as such will bring with you an excellent understanding of Maintenance Engineering Systems.
