Salary £27K -£32K (dependant of experience)

Babcock International Group is currently looking to appoint a Vocational Learning Advisor - a regional role working as part of theVolkswagen Group Apprenticeship Programme.

Purpose of role: Overall responsibility for the Learner progression and enhancement of the VW Group Apprenticeship Programme throughout their market area. Progress and assess learner qualifications, dealer visit and requirements in alignment to ESFA, Awarding Bodies, Volkswagen Group and Babcock Group.

The Volkswagen Group Apprenticeship Programme is looking for an Automotive Vocational Learning Advisor (VLA) for the North London region and surrounding areas. This role involves visiting, assessing and reviewing apprentices within Volkswagen Group sites and promoting the programme at all opportunities, you must have;

·Automotive Service Technician experience

·Recognised automotive Service Technician qualifications

·An ability to communicate at all levels and all ages

·Have a good standard of English and Maths, preferably to GCSE level “C” or above

·Be able to demonstrate good IT skills using basic office programmes

·Willingness to learn new skills

·Not afraid of a challenge

Top 5 Major Tasks and Activities:

·Responsibility for framework achievement, progression and Learner Starts within Market Area

·Responsibility for timely Learner Review completion within Region

·Ensure Apprentices completion in line with their planned end dates

·The assessment, progression and completion of learners in line with the Awarding Body code of Practice and Babcock Quality Assurance frameworks

·To effectively manage diary to ensure all learners within your caseload are supported in line with company and contractual requirements

Additional Key Accountabilities:

·Within region ensure that the Dealer Health and Safety is in line with contractual obligations

·To attend and contribute to team meetings and standardisations

·Produce weekly reports on, Market penetration by brand / year / area and L2 / L3 framework progression/achievement

·Maintain professional and current skills and qualification through company training and other development opportunities. Ensure all Continuous Professional Development is recorded

·To ensure all Etrack and upgrades are adhered to as stated in company policies and procedures

·Gain feedback from employers and customers in line with company procedures

·Comply with Internal Quality Assurance strategy

·Ensure Babcock Equality, Diversity and Welfare policies and procedures are followed at all times

·Ensure Babcock Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times

Key Technical Skills / competencies:

·To be IT literate in Word, Excel and MS Outlook

·To possess a high level of literacy skills and be able to read and interpret information

·To possess a high level of numeracy skills and be able to calculate and interpret figures

·Possess Automotive technical industry experience

Key Behavioural competencies:

·To possess excellent organisational skills and a professional demeanour

·To have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with other

·A willingness to travel within the region if required

·To be a self-motivated and possess a flexible approach

Company/Industry Knowledge:

·Up to date industry knowledge to include legislation knowledge

·To keep up to date with all Awarding Organisation and Apprenticeship information

Qualifications:

·General Certificates in education

·Industry- related qualifications such as Degree, HND, or NVQs

·Working towards or attained A1/CAVA TAQA Assessor Qualification

Role Information
£27,000 - £32,000

Permanent, Full-Time

37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday

25 day holiday (pro-rated) + Bank Holidays
