We are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher to join our thriving and highly successful Biology Department in September 2018, or sooner if possible.

The successful candidate will teach Biology to highly motivated students across key stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach up to A Level desirable. There may also be the opportunity to teach Chemistry and Physics up to Year 9.

We aim to offer varied and stimulating courses, based largely on practical work, using a wide range of resources. The Biology Department is well-equipped with three specialist laboratories, one further teaching room, a resources area and a specialist preparation room with its own technician. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to work with talented pupils and dedicated staff.

Applications are equally welcome from newly qualified teachers (for whom statutory induction would be provided) or from more experienced applicants.

The position is part time, working 0.70 FTE and permanent. Salary is MPS/UPS + a Wakefield Supplement. The Teachers’ Pension Scheme is also applicable. As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check.
