Salary within the range of £23,667 to £35,811 per annum pro rata

7 hours per week (up to 4.5 teaching hours and 2.5 preparation and other duties hours).

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to teach a range of Maths classes at our Suffolk New College on the Coast at Leiston.

From February this would be teaching adults Level 1 and/or 2 Functional Skills; this would be offered as both a day and evening provision.

There is also the opportunity in September to teach a range of Maths classes from Entry to GCSE Maths to our full time students based at the Suffolk New College on the Coast undertaking a range of vocational courses, as well as continue to teach adults Level 1 and 2 Functional skills.

All full-time students will, in addition to studying their chosen vocational qualification, follow Maths working towards GCSE’s.  You will have a passion for your subject, being able to motivate young adults to successfully achieve these qualifications.

Suffolk New College can provide relevant teacher training to those individuals who can demonstrate the potential to become effective teachers.

You should have a degree in Maths or a related degree or a Level 5 qualification in teaching Maths along with a teaching qualification or a commitment to obtaining one within a specified period.
