Lecturer in Accounting (AAT)

Up to £35,811 per annum pro rata

Variable hours (full or part time up to a maximum of 35 hours per week).

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to combine your knowledge and experience in accounting and finance with teaching and assessing skills with the aim of raising student achievement and promoting a positive student experience. 

This exciting, varied role will require you to provide an excellent standard of teaching and tutorial support to students in a classroom environment, and act as an assessor for groups of candidates on a range of courses.  You will also be required to support the recruitment of students and build relationships with employers to help meet our targets.

You should therefore have up-to-date industry expertise and a minimum of a Level 4 Accountancy qualification or equivalent.  Ideally, you will have an Assessor Award and a teaching qualification or a commitment to achieving these qualifications within a specified period.   

We are keen to receive applications from a wide variety of people including those currently working in industry or those currently teaching outside of the further education sector.  Suffolk New College can provide relevant teacher training to those individuals who can demonstrate the potential to become effective teachers.
