FPSG are looking to build a Test Team for a Central Scotland based Client who require a Test Manager to start ASAP on a permanent basis. As the first key member of the Test Team, you will be pivotal in the hiring, mentoring and development of the Test Engineers who will follow your lead on conducting end-to-end testing. Your experience will include a broad and thorough understanding of test management and you will be comfortable and familiar with developing test strategy. Within the role your technical leadership skills will steer the successful testing of individual services, applications and components. It will be your responsibility to deliver systems that meet the defined requirements and are free from defects. As Test Manager you will be active in contributing to activities around transformation, providing reference documentation where relevant and also confirm that the systems meet their stated functional requirements, are fully compliant with all associated legislation whilst ensuring that they realise the specified quality attributes for non-functional requirements. Essential Technical Skills: Experience of working under both waterfall and agile methods of project management. In particular you must be proficient in iterative software development and understand the associated responsibilities, practices and artefacts. The ability to communicate clearly and consistently on these, and other elements of the software development lifecycle, with the wider team, is also important. Proficient in systems integration testing, including experience of testing integration with third-party web APIs. Experience of Leverage provided tooling to support system testing activities. Experience of Browser Layout testing for responsive websites and testing on different browsers and/or devices. Experience of Performance testing, load testing and stress testing Experience of API testing and maintaining existing framework. Experience of Accessibility testing to address the needs with different disabilities. Experience of JUnit, TestNG frameworks, perceptual or visual test automation of the responsive web UI. As the role is based in Central Scotland, you will require the right to work here and be prepared to undergo, or re-new your BPSS / Basic Disclosure Scotland checks.
