Location: Reigate, Surrey

Salary: £36,500 - £38,500 + 5% bonus

About the Online Content Professional role:

With Online Content expertise, you will have the scope of overall responsibility for the development and execution of content updates from both central and local sources to Canon UK and Ireland website and intranet.

You will bring your experience and knowledge of online marketing, copywriting, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and using a Content Management System (CMS) tool to Canon.

Assisting with central initiatives to improve the customer experience of the website and increase its performance through regular content changes, you will have the opportunity to develop your project management skills as you co-ordinate several content projects.

Duties include:

* Work with local stakeholders to implement solutions for online content platforms. Provide advice and recommendations on best practice
* Partner with Canon Europe for content planning and to support Canon UK publishers
* Liaise with CEL Web Analytics Team regarding Google Analytics activities. Analyse Canon UK metrics to support and monitor the performance of projects. Regular review and reporting of analytics, set up of campaign tracking. Support stakeholders in analysing effectiveness of activity
* Provide local system administration for tools relating to online content including SMS, Video, Sharepoint Intranet, digital asset management. Provide basic training where necessary, manage user access and set up. Liaison with system providers to implement new developments
* Implement local actions for major projects from CEL eg. CMS upgrades, testing new systems.
* Provide image manipulation capability to support online activities using asset management tools and Photoshop
* You'll be involved in local web strategy decision making - content and brand
* Internally you will liaise with the Corporate & Marketing Services Team, local Marketing teams and support functions, Canon Europe peer group
* Externally, you will liaise with agency suppliers where appropriate.

Requirements of the Online Content Professional:

* Excellent online marketing, SEO and analytics knowledge with a passion for making websites becoming more effective
* Ability to plan and organise workload and work closely with internal stakeholders
* Align stakeholder requirements to corporate templates, styles, guidelines and best practice
* Experience of Tridion desirable or similar content management system (CMS)
* Proven understanding of the underlying concepts of content management and website development
* You will possess effective project management skills and be self-motivated, pragmatic and can work as part of a team or individually, as required
* Strong project management skills.
