We moved into our new, purpose-built building in January 2013. Under recent new leadership, the academy continues to go from strength to strength, with happy and motivated staff, a supportive culture and plenty of opportunities for personal growth with our excellent staff CPD offer. We offer a range of benefits including United Rewards, covering lifestyle and retail benefits including childcare vouchers, a car lease scheme, cycle to work etc., subsidised meals and an on-site gym which is free for all staff to use.

We welcome visits to our school so that you can experience the unique ethos of Kettering Buccleuch Academy for yourself. If you would like to visit the academy, please contact Miss Millsop, PA to the Principal, on 01536 515644.

The role

This is a unique opportunity for a qualified teacher or Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our staff, providing 1:1 support for a named KS4 student who currently attends Kettering Buccleuch Academy. This role is offered on a fixed term contract until 30th June 2019.

You will be providing educational support in class, supporting and delivering the KS4 curriculum in Maths, English, Art and History to GCSE level and you will have the ability to provide catch-up lessons in order to ensure successful outcomes for the named student. This role has the expectation that the post holder will be on site working from 8.15am until 4.15pm as a minimum during term time so that you can meet the student upon arrival in the morning and work with them throughout the day.

About You

You will be a qualified teacher or a Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is able to provide teaching and support to the named student in a variety of subjects in Key Stage 4.

You will be able to form and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students and adults working in the school. You will enjoy the challenge of contributing positively to the work, ethos and values of the school and be willing to go above and beyond in this important role.

United Learning

Kettering Buccleuch Academy is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
