Salary: FTE £14,226 per annum pro rata
About the role
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our Independent Living team as a Service Admin Assistant on a part time basis.
You will be responsible for providing an efficient and reliable administrative support service to staff and volunteers. You will undertake a range of administrative and service support duties such as responding to requests for Red Cross services/information, booking and arranging meetings and answering phone calls and emails.
About the team
The Independent Living & Crisis Response service (IL/CR) supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency; maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health, social care, and emergency services.
About the person
With a passionate approach to customer service you will have following skills and experience:
- Confident in using telephone systems, Microsoft packages & Outlook with the ability to create, amend and manipulate Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint applications
- Experience of general administrative duties; incoming and outgoing mail, answering the telephone and using a simple switchboard, scanning, filing, meeting and greeting customers
- Ability to deal with queries in a diplomatic, professional and confidential manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work accurately, check documentation for accuracy
