Are you an experienced Workshop Engineer / Bench Engineer who is looking for a role in a rapidly growing Healthcare company? If so, we are looking for you. What are we looking for in a Workshop Engineer? • To Provide a Workshop Engineering Service. • Conduct repairs servicing and maintenance as directed by the Wheelchair Services Manager / Workshop Supervisor • Undertake bench based engineering work in terms of service and repairs • A confident user of bench and/or hand tools • Warehouse and wheelchair experience highly desirable • Can do attitude with natural engineering /fault finding abilities • Assist with stock and stores activities and Warehouse activities as and when required / as directed by the Workshop Supervisor • During times of absence and high peaks of field based work, conduct field based service calls as directed by the Wheelchair Services Manager / Workshop Supervisor • Assist in the wheelchair service emergency call out rota where required • Ensure all warranty and scrap returns are labelled correctly and collated at the end of each day. • Process all associated paperwork concerning repairs and servicing accurately on a daily basis. • Stocktake – to assist with annual and interim stocktakes as required We ask all applications to have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years which qualifies you to drive a light goods van to assist with deliveries to cover for periods of absence. You must not have had any serious convictions on your driving licence or ever been disqualified from driving and currently have no more than 6 points on your driving licence What can we offer you? • An hourly rate of £9.50 per hour • Working hours 08:00-17:00 (40 hours per week) • Company Pension Scheme • 32 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) with the option of an extra day (unpaid) • Life Assurance • Childcare Voucher Scheme • Free Parking • Training will be provided on wheelchair engineering This role is working in a regulated activity and subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
