Senior Finance Officer

My client is a commercially orientated charity based in Central London. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Officer on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Team Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the financial accounts of the charity are maintained in accordance with the Charity SORP and relevant accounting standards. You will be responsible for undertaking monthly balance sheet reconciliations and being responsible for the management of credit card and prepaid reconciliations. Moreover, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the management accounts and supporting the Financial Accounting Manager with the systems development and improvement of the charity's accounting system. In addition you will be managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable function which will include supervising staff.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed it is essential to be a part-qualified (ACCA OR CIMA) accountant with experience in a similar role. It is essential to have experience talking about complex financial information to both finance and non-finance staff and experience of undertaking balance sheet reconciliation and being responsible for prepaid and credit card systems and reconciliations. It is also essential to have experience supervising staff and the accounts payable and receivable function. Charity and not-for-profit organisation experience is highly desirable.
What you'll get in return
